Cybersteel has commissioned modernised seamless stainless-steel tube production in Pervouralsk. The opening combines investment in manufacturing equipment with digital production management, widening the facility's capabilities for industrial customers.
Investment reaches the commissioning stage
Interfax reported the opening on June 26, 2025, citing the Industrial Development Fund. The modernisation cost 12 billion roubles, including 5.2 billion roubles in preferential loans from the fund. Reported annual capacity reached approximately 15,000 tonnes. Capacity is the scale the facilities are equipped to support, rather than a statement that the same tonnage has already been sold.
Equipment and production information
In its corporate release, Cybersteel described more than 150 new equipment units and over 100 new jobs. The company also reported introducing a manufacturing execution system to monitor production. Its expanded offering covers instrument tubing, heat-exchanger tubes and general-purpose products, alongside steam-generator tubes for nuclear power projects.
Two connected parts of the upgrade

- Production information helps staff follow work as it passes through the plant.
- Customer specifications determine which of those capabilities are relevant to an individual order.
The distinction is important because installed machinery and the organisation of work are complementary. Additional equipment may widen a product range, but the movement of orders through successive stages still has to be coordinated. A production-management system addresses that information task; it does not itself create a customer order or replace the required product specification.

The announcement marks the commissioning of the modernised operation. For a prospective industrial buyer, the relevant follow-up is the available tube specification, the required acceptance documentation and the agreed production schedule. A plant-wide tonnage figure cannot settle those questions for a particular application.
The investment and the expanded manufacturing base are therefore the central facts of this update. They should be kept separate from forecasts of future market demand: an opening can establish that facilities are available without establishing how fully those facilities will be used over the following year.
