The project envisaged two lines for AA and AAA batteries, with annual output of 264 million units at full operation. The January report described a plan, not a completed opening.
From a production plan to available orders
The stated annual figure sets the scale of the intended operation. It does not establish how many batteries would be manufactured during the first calendar year. Commissioning partway through a year, testing equipment and establishing a working schedule are different matters from operating for a full year at the stated rate.
For prospective business customers, the practical distinction is between a manufacturing programme and an available supply offer. A production plan identifies the intended product categories. A supply offer would also need quantities, delivery dates and commercial terms for the specific order. The former should not be read as if it already contains the latter.
Separate milestones
