Glass Decor has opened a glass-container plant for food-industry customers in Ruzayevka, Mordovia, Russia, according to an Interfax report published on 16 June 2025. The announced production plan is about 150 million bottles a year. Colorless containers come first; decoration is planned for a subsequent stage.
Furnace start comes before the first glass
A separate report published by the StekloSouz industry association says the furnace was started during the opening ceremony, with the first glass expected three weeks later. It also reports the creation of more than 350 jobs. These details place the announcement at the beginning of a production sequence, rather than at the end of a completed year of bottle deliveries.
The distinction matters when reading the annual figure. A stated annual production plan is not a measurement of the output already obtained by the publication date.
